About Seniors & Friends Lunches
You may remember a previous iteration of this wonderful series organized by Kathy Rieder, Sharon Walberg and many volunteers. With DenmanWorks! support, Farm to Family has been hosting a monthly series of Musical Lunches in fall/winter 2025/26. Seniors, along with their friends and family members of any age, are welcome to join.
Lunches are held monthly on Wednesdays in the Back Hall, from 12-2pm (dates listed below).
We suggest a donation of $6-10 per person to help cover food costs. The meals feature a soup or casserole and accoutrements, as well as a simple dessert. Each time, diners enjoy a set of acoustic music by a Denman Island musician.
DenmanWorks! generously provided initial funding for this initiative to cover part of the cost of ingredients and provide honoraria for musicians. Farm to Family does the cooking, but we need extra volunteers to help with setting up tables, serving food, and cleaning up after each Lunch.
Farm to Family is unable to provide rides to these events, but if you would like to attend and require transportation, please let us know and we will try to help with a solution.
