Community Partners & Funders

Hornby Denman Health is a key partner connecting Farm to Family with senior and elder residents of Denman Island who may be in need of our services. We also partner on the oversight of volunteer drivers who distribute our  Elder Service frozen meals.

DenmanWorks! advocates for use of tax-payer dollars within the Denman Island community through the promotion of local economic enhancement initiatives. DW has provided grants to Farm to Family for equipment purchases, volunteer training, personnel, and local food ingredients, and continues to be a resource for access to information about local, provincial and national grant opportunities.  

CVCF has supported Farm to Family with numerous grants for our programming since 2021.

Denman Island Community Hall, owned by Denman Island Recreation Commission Society (DIRCS) has a commercial kitchen and dining space that we rent for our ongoing programs. 

DIRCS has also provided F2f with a very important storage space at the Hall, which is essential for feasible access to the equipment and ingredients used in our programming. 

The GPA is a key partner in conneting Farm to Family with local farmers and producers, providing information and resources around locally available food, and collaborating on projects and grant applications to further the shared goal of enhancing Food Sovereignty on Denman Island.

We are grateful for support from First Credit Union for Impact Grants that support purchase of local ingredients for our meals, and other program costs.

DICES manages the Denman Island Food Bank, which is another effort to relieve poverty through provision of food to residents of Denman Island. We consult with DICES on issues surrounding food security on the island, and are exploring sharing equipment, storage space and food aggregation, to better serve our respective constituents. 

The volunteer fire department on Denman Island has been a regular donor to F2f and we are very grateful for their support!

United Way provided Farm to Family with funding in our first year of operations, which allowed us to purchase equipment, ingredients and supplies, and rent our first kitchen space. We could not have gotten this initiative off the ground without this funding.
